Vikhroli is a suburb of Mumbai. it is one of the peaceful suburb of Eastern Mumbai. Vikhroli has the best residential areas in the suburbs of Mumbai.
The suburb has a railway station by the same name on the Central Railway line. It is located on the central line of the Suburban Rail twork, about 11 kilometers north- east of Bandra. The area is divided into two parts, East and West, by the central line and is surrounded by Powai towards the West, Bhandup towards the North and Ghatkopar towards the Southwest.Vikhroli is well-connected to the city of Mumbai via an extensive network of roads. The Eastern Highway connects Vikhroli to Vashi, Thane, Dadar and Chembur. The Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg connects this region to Bandra, Jogeshwari and other western suburbs. JVLR (Jogeshwari- Link Road) is an important arterial road that connects the eastern suburbs to the western suburbs and the Eastern Highway to the Western Highway. BEST buses offer good service here and many bus depots are located in Vikhroli. The International Airport is located at a distance of about 10 kilometers from Vikhroli and the Central Railway Station is only 1.4 kilometers away. In addition, a bridge is proposed between Kannamwar Nagar in Vikhroli and Kopar Khairane in Navi Mumbai over the Thane creek that would be the third bridge between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
