Ravet is an upcoming residential location located in the north-western part of Pune. It is a junction of old the NH4, the Katraj-Dehu Road Bypas, Mumbai- Expressway and is advantageously close to Pune IT hub. Ravet is managed by the New Township Development Authority (PCNTDA). Located within close proximity to Tathawade, IT hub and Pimpri-Chinchwad industrial belt, this area has become an attractive destination for IT professionals and industrial workforce. Industrial giant like F, Telco and Bajaj Auto manufacturing plant have set up base in Ravet. Situated near to the upcoming cricket stadium at Gahunje village off Mumbai- Expressway, it will be home ground for the IPL Team. Bhosari and Nigdi are connected to Ravet via Mumbai- Express Highway. Ravet is also located close to weekend getaway of Khandala and Lonavala.
Connectivity
Ravet is located at an equal distance from two major real estate market driver - Pimpri- Industrial belt and IT hub. The 14.5-metre long road starting from Rajiv Gandhi Bridge on Mula River in Sangvi get connected to Ravet. It connect Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad with Pune-Mumbai highway at Dehu Road. Recently, JNNURM proposed expansion of this road up to 45 metres; non-signalled four-lane BRT road to provide easy access across key area of Aundh within 10 minutes. It is divided into seven section, each about 1.75 kilometres in length. Work on the 9-kilometre stretch from Ravet to Dairy in Pimpale Saudagar has also begun. The remaining stretch of 4 kilometres from Dairy to Rajiv Gandhi Bridge will pass through defence land. Expansion will also pass through the limit of three authorities like New Township Development Authority, PCMC and defence authorities. Chakan, Pimpri, Chinchwad and Talegaon are also easily accessible from Ravet. The State Urban Development Department has approved a proposal of PCMC to widen two 18-metre wide road in Ravet to 30 and 45 metres respectively. PCMC has also planned to build an underpas at a busy Y-junction where Road meet Aundh- Road in order to ease traffic congestion. This underpas will be 467 metre in length and 7.5 metre wide. It will have two lane and vehicle with a height of up to 4.5 metres will be able to go through the underpass safely.
