Wakad, situated in Pimpri-Chinchwad, is one of the fastest growing suburbs of the Metropolitan Area. It is located in the western part of Pune and offer easy accessibility to Mumbai through Mumbai- Expressway. The phenomenal growth of this locality can be attributed to the Infotech and Biotechnology Park at Hinjewadi close to the Pune- Expressway.
