The most awaited instant messaging app, WhatsApp has finally rolled out for Reliance Jio's feature phones - JioPhone and JioPhone 2. Jio phones run on Kai OS, the WhatsApp is specially designed the app for both phones. In jio phones WhatsApp provides standard function like send and receive message, sharing image, voice messages, documents and video to users, All messages are end to end encrypted.

 

To use WhatsApp on your both jio phones, follow these steps to start messaging.

 

-Open setting.

 

-Check that you have updated your device, if not then update it.

 

-Go back from settings and open JioApps.

 

-Find WhatsApp in the JioApps Store.

 

-Click on the WhatsApp and you will see a description of the app. Select the option to Install the app.

 

-After downloading the WhatsApp click on “Open” on the same page. If you want to open letter, then click on WhatsApp in App drawer.

 

-After opening the WhatsApp you see the Terms and Policy, you have to agree to it if you want to start messaging.

 

-Next, you will be asked to enter your phone number.

 

-After, entering phone no. you will receive an OTp and your verification will done.

 

-Next step, WhatsApp will ask you for your name and an optional profile photo.

 

-Now, you will see the chats page on the app. This will be empty if there is no backup with this number.

 

-To start messaging, tap on “New Chat”

 

-Select the contact you wish to start the conversation with and you are all set to use the WhatsApp.
